At 12, I Know Nothing About Menstruation

The best way to prevent sexually transmitted diseases and unwanted pregnancies is through education. Dr Mary McLeod Bethune
The relationship between parent and child will determine the kind of communication that will happen. Most parents didn't create an atmosphere that will enhance the teaching of SEX in the house.

No matter how much time passes, the bond between a parent and child remains unbreakable. Unknown

World Health Organization (WHO) has stated that sexuality is  an integral part of the personality of everyone: man, woman and child. This is to tell us that, we are fashioned to have sex but this must not be our focus.

That is why parent must take it as their duty to educate their child about it because if they refuse to do that, their children will get the knowledge required from a wrong source which may lead to CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE.

Most parents  find it difficult to teach their children because they were not taught also and they think is a taboo to talk about it in the society.

I had my first menstruation at the age of 12. At first, I was scared because I know nothing about it. I thought something had happened to me when blood started coming out of my private part. Parent should educate their child about the sensuality and sexuality of their body.

Child Sexual Abuse keeps increasing because parents refused to teach their children about SEX through daily communication. Parents can improve their knowledge about SEX by reading books and attending seminars. This will be of help.

Our child will not be a victim of sexual abuse,Amen.
